AHMA is committed to the self-determination, management, and delivery of affordable, quality housing to urban and rural Aboriginal people throughout BC. More than 40 Aboriginal housing providers administer all Aboriginal social housing, programs and services under the B.C. Aboriginal Social Housing Management Agreement with BC Housing, a self-management model that is the first of its kind in Canada.

Four key housing organizations from across Canada have come together in an innovative partnership that will help non-profit and co-operative housing providers meet long-term financing needs. BC Non-Profit Housing Association (BCNPHA), the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada) and the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) have joined Housing Services Corporation (HSC) to create Encasa Financial Inc. Encasa (formerly SHSC Financial Inc.) offers non-profit and co-operative housing providers across the country new investment options for their capital reserves.

Metro Vancouver
Metro Vancouver Housing provides safe and affordable rental homes for more than 9,000 people on 49 sites across the Metro Vancouver region. Our sites are diverse, mixed-income communities that include families, seniors, and people with disabilities. We offer a range of homes, from SRO units to four-bedroom townhomes, at below-market rates and rates based on tenants’ incomes. Supported primarily by our tenants’ rents, we are a non-profit organization that has partnered with tenants, governments, and service providers to support healthy and engaged communities since 1974.
